apparently rep. bachmann has never bothered to crack open a text book in her life. facts mean nothing to her. maybe at some point republicans will start to deal in facts. until then, this is what we will have to deal with.

nota bene: CO2 is toxic in higher concentrations: 1% (10,000 ppm) will make some people feel drowsy. Concentrations of 7% to 10% cause dizziness, headache, visual and hearing dysfunction, and unconsciousness within a few minutes to an hour.
"Carbon Dioxide is not harmful"... someone should let ms. Bachmann in on the fact that veterinarians have been using CO2 for years as a humane method of euthanasia for small animals... they begin with a low concentration which gently eases the animal into unconsciousness, then they increase the concentration until the animal dies peacefully in its sleep. Although this is a relatively painless way to go, it most definitely does show that yes, ms. Bachmann, CO2 in high enough concentrations is unquestionably fatal to all oxygen-breathing lifeforms.
